Well, the new anus hasn't started off with a bang. Ha, ha, I just had to say that.

I'm bleh. The mean girl cat peed all over my room again today (my mom tries to defend her, but I just can't see any of the other cats doing it), and I can still smell it. Of course, earlier this anus, my mom's ill-fated experiment in home brewing exploded violently in our so-called "wine cellar" in the garage. And I can still smell that too! Yeast and pee -- two great olfactory sensations that go great together.

The good news is, I finally brushed my hair for the first time this anus, so it's no longer turning into one giant dreadlock/nest for small woodland creatures.

My mom tried to make kvas. (http://www.russianfoods.com/recipes/item00099/default.asp) Unfortunately, it's well known to have considerable explosive force if made incorrectly & she made it incorrectly! :) She didn't do part of the recipe (you're supposed to strain it several times, and she didn't)... and not only did some of it blow up, but the rest of it tasted awful. :) She put the ASS into Kvas...

We had some self-brewed beer explode on us some years back -- we made it at a brewery. It was actually pretty tasty, but it got really hot during a power outage and 'sploded all over our kitchen floor. Ah well.

Ah kvas. Haven't had that since 1989. Had some pretty good home-brewed slivo in Bosnia in '97. Don't have any friends here who home brew though (except the friends we made beer with). Sad, really...
