I've only just heard about Diana Wynne Jones, because Miyazaki & Studio Ghibli's next film is going to be based on another book of hers, called Howl's Moving Castle - which, when I read the description of the book a few weeks ago, sounded just weird & interesting enough for me to go get it...
...sadly, it's out of print, so my hopes were quashed. I'll definitely have to look out for Dogsbody, though! It sounds right up my alley.
You could try amazon.co.uk. I believe that pretty much all of the Diane Wynne Jones books are in print again in the UK, as she's one of the authors who's benefitted from the increased interest in young adult fantasy as a result of the Harry Potter phenomenon.
Which is good, as getting hold of her books used to be like pulling teeth. :-)
"Howl's Moving Castle" also has a (somewhat loosely connected) sequel called "Castle In The Air". You might want to look for that one too.

Barnes&Nobles has new and relatively cheap paperback editions out dere, which I just found out.
Of course, I ended up finishing the novel before my flight, leaving me nothing to read on the way home. Ahem.
Tomorrow, I head to the bookstore to get Dogsbody....
