Here's one photo from NYE. Sadly, I failed in my quest to become blindingly drunk. In fact, I remained stone cold sober throughout the evening.

Which, I don't actually get. I've never really "celebrated" New years. I'm too bummed that the xmas season is over, and NY always seems anti-climatic to me.

I've had fun before — that wasn't it. ;)
I mean, I guess it was mostly ok. There were certainly parts to the evening which were fun. But that's the first and last time I want to spend NYE dashing like crazy between parties and social engagements. I'm having my own party again next year, damnit! :)

New Year's is overrated. You kid yourself into thinking it might be some sort of watershed (vodkashed? *g*) but it's ever only more of the same.

We usually have such a great NYE! We exchange presents and do silly things around our NY tree and dance and sing and then all our guests vomit and we spend NYDay cleaning up! I'm hoping for a return to that tradition next year.
