I couldn't take it anymore and washed my hair last night. I even used shampoo for the first time in years! My dreads came apart easily. Ah, sweet conformity! :D

I have limped in with the theme camp application for 2010, just under the wire. This means that right now, I am still maintaining that I will be at Burning Man this year, along with my theme camp, Ocean's Serene (the spa next door to bigkgbguy's Stardust Lounge Casino).

I figured I better get the camp registered, but whether I actually go or not is still unclear. If worse comes to worse, and I have to drop out, I'll deputize someone else to run it. In the meantime, let me know if you are interested in camping there.

Maybe taking this step will get me all excited about it, but right now I am just too tired. Blaaaahhhh....

Once again, I have not been updating. Bah! I promise I will have a real update soon. No, really. I have all kinds of exciting things to say about work, life, drunken exploits, Chip, and, of course, Burning Man.

Earlier today, cheesehead1701 and I set out for Burning Man. We are spending the night in Reno. We ate at the weird vegetarian diner. An Elvis impersonator showed us how to find it.

Also, I won about $30 playing nickel slots.

So, on Sunday, I went with Dave and Katya to dim sum, Chinatown, Little Tokyo, and the Garment District. I made some very important and totally necessary Burning Man purchases. Look, this stuff is important!! Um.... um.

I just rolled back into LA after a stealth weekend in SF to bring my boys home. It is hot hot hot here. :( BUT there was an amazing gift waiting for me from _stillsong_ — an incredible green cape that I will wear at Burning Man.

For which I should probably put in my vacation request.

Anyway, the weekend was great, if all too short, I didn't see everyone I wanted to, and I was rip-roaring drunk a lot. Now, the reality of going back to work tomorrow rears its ugly head.

So, last night I got my rejection letter for my Burning Man art project grant proposal. I'm not at all upset I didn't get it — waiting was the hardest part and now I can move forward with exploring other funding options!

Yes, I'm still going to go ahead with the art project, and I'll probably be posting about it here. I thought about making a filter for that babbling, but it looks like I'm all out of filters and anyway, I'll tag it henceforth and you can just skip it if you don't want to read about it. :)

On the other hand, if you want to know more and want to be part of my fearless crew, let me know and I'll tell you how you can come aboard, my little buccaneer! :) Arrr!

To celebrate being out of limbo, I am hopefully going to Disneyland tomorrow.

Boy, am I tired. I suppose I should let my boss know I'm not coming in tomorrow. Seeing as how I'm still 375 miles away.
